I make stuff. I have bought 4 sewing machines in the last 5 years. I have a weakness for vintage dress patterns and novelty prints. I am a grown woman who plays with dolls. I have a hot husband and three crazy/smart kids. I could listen to Jukebox the Ghost and Arcangelo Corelli forever. I'd rather watch Band of Brothers than a chick flick. So guess who decided to sew herself a knockoff of the Modcloth Soda Fountain dress.
Mine will be a lot less than $44.99, though. The fabric was $3 a yard, pattern on sale for 99 cents, and buttons were $1.35 for a pack of 10.
Be forewarned: I’m going to do it in purple too.
